ST. JOHN'S ACTIVITIES & CLUBS

Children's Church:
This service is provided during the church service.  The children will go down stairs midway through the church service right before the pastor's sermon to the youth room and have their own lesson.
 

Church Service:
Praise & Worship starts at 10:00am. The service begins at 10:30am.  During the service we have a children's lesson. Most Sundays we will have musical performances by our very own Adult Choir or Bell Choir.  We will also have special music by people of St. John's or from visiting musicians that come to our church.

Sunday School Classes: 
All classes are from 9:00am to 10:00am.  They begin in the Sunday School Opening room with refreshments, announcements, singing and prayer concerns.  Then everyone will go to their own class. All age groups are welcome! 

Adult Choir:
Everyone is welcome to sing in our Choir.  It doesn't matter what your age.  The choir can always use another voice.  They meet every Wednesday evening at 6:30PM for an hour. They have an Easter and a Christmas Cantata.  There is always a great turn out for these events!  They've even done patriotic concerts at local events.  The choir has parties and picnics.  It's a great time to join!!  See you Wednesday evening!

Bell Choir:
This is a three octave Hand Bell Choir. The Bells add beautiful music to the church. The St. John's "Praise Ringers" have become quite popular in Bedford county.  They've performed concerts at different locations.  They've even performed on the sidewalks in downtown Bedford. They meet every Wednesday at 7:30PM directly after the Adult Choir.  We are always in need of substitute Bell Ringers!! 

Secret Sisters:
This is a group that has a lot of fun together.  They get together in September of every year and exchange names.  They will pick who their secret sister is.  Shhh!  You're not allowed to reveal your secret sister's name.  Throughout the year you are to pray for your secret sister, send her cards, give her a birthday and a Christmas gift. They get together several times a year at the holidays and enjoy parties.  It is a great time of fellowship!!!  In September they'll reveal who their secret sister is at their annual banquet!!!  You may want to sign up for next year!

Sisters:
A Bible study Group for Women who meet every other Tuesday at 7:00PM. Come join us.  You'll learn about the Bible, have a laugh or two and maybe even make a friend! Here are a few photos from the Sister's Tea which was held last November.  It was a great success.  They are even thinking of making it an annual event!

Fellowship Club:
This is a group of Senior Adults that get together during Sunday School Class.  They are in charge of visiting the shut-ins at Christmas, they meet at Jane & Galen Black's house and have dinner and then prepare boxes for or give flowers to the shut-ins or others in need, they organize the mother & child banquet, the Pasta Night Banquet and they are in charge of the Shrove Tuesday Banquet. We here at St. John's can always count on the fellowship Club.  Thanks!

Helping Hands Club:
They are in charge of providing meals at the church for Holidays and special occasions.  They also provide meals for funerals. They'll provide a great meal if needed on a moments notice!! They are deeply appreciated at St. John's and they always do a fantastic job!!
